Welcome to the world of Maria Kvist! As a singer, composer and pianoplayer she has really found a true personal expression together with her quartet.

The debut album I Read A Review (2008) made a strong impression on the swedish critics: ”You seldom hear a debutant take such a convincing step into the jazz elite.” (Tomas Nydahl, Lira). ”Her compositions can make you think of the great american composers of popular music.” (Magnus Eriksson, Rootsy)

The new album Lemon Man was released in May 2010, and once again she’s backed up by Linus Kåse, alto sax; Sven-Erik Johansson, double bass and Isak Andersson on drums.

In September 2011 Maria was invited for a tour in Hong Kong.
